Du Iz Tak?
This book is about bugs. Well, bugs that find something that they don’t recognize. All the bugs talk in bug language, so you don’t know exactly what they are saying, so it is fun to try to figure it out. It sounds like it is German or something! So, like the bugs say, “Du iz tak?” which means, “What is that?” It is a little plant that grows into a beautiful flower, and while it grows the bugs make it into a fun fort. The bugs are really cute; they all have faces that look like people’s faces, but they have bug bodies that are like people’s clothes. The moths’ wings are like soft furry capes. All the pictures are really fun to look at, which is good because you might have to go back through the book lots of times to really understand what the bugs are saying. It is kind of like a puzzle! I thought that “Ooky” meant “look” at first, but it is actually a bug’s name! This is a really fun book with great pictures that all children will like.
