Dragon Ghosts
Fifer and Simber lead their team in a desperate search for Fifer’s twin. While this search, with all sorts of difficulties and challenges, is going on, Thisbe, who is hounded by images of Grimer’s dark history and her growing feelings of abandonment, considers leaving Roham behind, a choice that could lead to life or death consequences. Back in Artime, chaos reigns. A new king steps up to try to restore the broken and scarred kingdom.
I did not like The Unwanted Quests, Dragon Ghosts by Lisa MacMann. It was boring, stale, and not too original for me. Without reading the first two books in the series, it is very hard to understand and follow what’s going on and the relationship between the characters. The author used excessive descriptive language and too much dialogue. Those two things made the book drag on and be very unexciting. The story was a good idea at first, but the way the author developed it made it not as good. I have read some of her other books, including the Unwanted series, and I found those to be more interesting than this particular book.
This book would be good for kids ages 10-15 and those who like fantasy, Lisa McMann, and the Unwanted Quests series. I would not pick this book up as the first one in the series.
