Dog Days (The Carver Chronicles)
Gavin has moved to a new school and makes a new friend, Richard. But as soon as his new friend comes over, Richard accidentally breaks Gavin’s sister’s snow globe from New Yok City! And Gavin’s sister is not friendly. She is angry! As punishment, Gavin has to walk his Aunt’s little dog, Carlotta, to pay for the snow globe. Not only does Gavin have to suffer walking the yappy dog and cleaning her mess, but he loses her precious “chew-chew” and has problems at school. He has a thief and the school bully angry at him. Things are not going well for Gavin. He is very grumpy. And then Carlotta gets lost….
I like this story because it was easy to read. It was also funny and interesting to read what happened to Gavin next. Carlotta is a funny little dog that causes troubles. The Aunt was funny too because she makes Gavin eat peas. He hates peas! I would recommend this story for most kids. But, gave it less stars because I didn’t like that the characters weren’t very nice, even Gavin.
