Description
Dive: The Danger is book three in Gordon Korman’s Dive trilogy. It follows four friends during their summer adventures diving in the Caribbean Sea while searching for sunken treasure. The Deep, book two, introduces the dangers in their activities, with The Danger continuing with fights, deaths, a discovered murderer, and secrets unveiled from the previous two books. A sunken pirate ship from 1665 contains more than treasure as the friends embark on a race to win.
I enjoyed the Dive trilogy and found several aspects of the stories unique from others I’ve read. I was initially drawn to the series based on the books’ new covers. They looked exciting and worth reading the pages in between to learn more. This book contained fewer confusing parts for me, and it tied everything from book one to book three together in an understanding and engaging manner that brought about several gasps. This series is appropriate for middle-school readers based on situations intermixed in the stories.
