Dinosaurs in Disguise
Dinosaurs in Disguise is a story about a little boy who wonders if dinosaurs are still alive. What if they never went extinct? People say that a huge asteroid hit the Earth and killed the dinosaurs, but what if it didn’t?
The boy thinks they are just hiding. The dinosaurs might pretend to be a camel, a pyramid, the Great Sphinx, knight’s horses, pilgrims, Santa at the mall, the Statue of Liberty, or even trees and bushes! He knows if he looks hard enough, he can find one.
Instead of hunting, he thinks it would be much easier for them to find food now in drive-thrus, restaurants, or in the grocery store. And travel would be easier, too, because they could take a plane, bus, or car! Or maybe the dinosaurs wouldn’t like the way things are now after all – the world has changed a lot.
I liked how the dinosaurs dressed up to camouflage themselves. It was fun trying to find them hiding in all the pictures throughout the book! My favorite part was when the dinosaurs were pretending to be bushes and trees!
