Dino-Gro

Dino-Gro is about a boy who has a new toy called Dino-Gro, but he isn’t happy with it because it’s so tiny. His mom says that it’ll grow when it gets wet, so he goes to bed and plans on getting it wet in the morning. When he wakes up, the dinosaur has got itself wet all by itself! The boy can now play with the dinosaur, but all it wants to do is get wet and grow bigger and bigger! It gets so wet that the boy’s parents tell him that it can’t stay in the house anymore, making the boy and the dinosaur sad. The boy tries things to get it smaller, but then a storm hits. What will happen to Dino-Gro?

I like this book because it has a happy ending; even though the dinosaur is humongous, there are things it can do to help. I like the colors in the book because they are bright with lots of blues. It is easy to tell what is happening in the story. I think that kids of all ages will like this story, especially if they like toys that grow in water!
