Diary of an 8-Bit Warrior by Cube Kid is a story about a group of friends fighting to save their village. Runt and his group of friends are sent on quests. They meet Ophelia at the hotel they are staying at. But soon they learn they are not safe, the eyeless one is after them. Can they defeat him?

The book was very entertaining. I really liked when Runt talked about his and his friends’ powers. I also liked when they went past all of the biomes. I felt like I really got to know Breeze and Ophelia. I would have liked to know Runt and his other friends better. I would have liked less about what Runt was thinking. They also could have added more dialogue.

The illustrations were great. It really related to what was on the page. I think ages seven to twelve should read this book. If you like Minecraft, you’ll like this book. I would recommend this book because it kept me entertained. Read this book because it was a great and funny story.
