Desert Dark
Nadia is ready to leave her life behind. Life just tends to suck when your boyfriend cheats on you with your best friend and no one tells you. When an offer comes for Nadia to attend Desert Mountain Academy she jumps at the chance to leave her old life behind. Little does she know that Desert Mountain Academy is a school for high-achieving students to become CIA agents in the Black-Ops. Nadia struggles to catch up on everything she missed upon arrival and learns she has to earn the trust of her new teammates. When news of a double agent spreads around campus it seems the main suspect is Nadia herself. To stop being accused of treason Nadia ends up learning some dark secrets about all her teammates and discovers one of them is the deserter.
Desert Dark was captivating and I was constantly trying to guess who did what, and of course, who was the deserter. Readers who enjoy Desert Dark may also like Etiquette and Espionage by Gail Carriger and The Naturals by Jennifer Lynn Barnes.
