Dentist Trip (Peppa Pig)

Lots of kids know the character Peppa Pig from the television show. In this book, Peppa Pig takes her first trip to the dentist. She’s not nervous about going to the dentist because her family (Mummy Pig, Daddy Pig, and Peppa’s little brother, George) goes with her and talks to her about the dentist. The dentist, Doctor Elephant, is a friendly dentist who helps Peppa learn that going to the dentist is a good thing that can be fun.

One thing I really liked about this book were the sounds (including “Ptooou!”) that Peppa pig made when she rinsed out her mouth. One thing I didn’t like about the story was that even toys can go to the dentist, too. The illustrations in this book are colorful and are just like the pictures on the Peppa Pig television show. My little brother likes that show and he wanted to read this book right away, so my mom read it to him as a bedtime story. One line that especially I liked from this book (other than “Ptooou!”) was, “Peppa, George, the dentist will see you, now,” by Miss Rabbit the Nurse. I think younger readers (kids younger than 8) would really like this book (as well as maybe some teenagers).
