Death & Sparkles: Book 1

Death’s job is to take people’s souls. But it’s not very fun to have every single thing you touch die, especially if you claim a soul that you are not supposed too, and then there’s a bunch of boring paperwork. Sparkles is the last unicorn. He has fame and glory and gets to eat a lot of delicious cupcakes. But it isn’t that fun really.

But then, when Sparkles gets forced to do a crazy stunt, Death has to claim his soul. But Sparkles doesn’t seem to be worthy of the giant cupcake, so he has to go back to where he lived. Another problem is that now everybody thinks Death and Sparkles are awful and these lizards from another planet are really cool. Will they be able to prove that they are not murderers and become friends?

I think people who like graphic novels with funny characters will really like this book. It was very entertaining. The illustrations were simple but fun and colorful.
