Deadfall
Deadfall is about twin boys, Ty and Cory, who are escaping their past. They’re driving in remote mountains when they see a wrecked car on the side of the road. When they get to the car, no one was there, and it looked like the driver had escaped. All of a sudden, they heard banging and thumping in the trunk, which changed their lives forever.
This is a perfect book for anyone interested in mystery and survival thrillers. The reading could be confusing at times because it switches between past and present, although this does make the mystery in the story more interesting and intriguing. The author made the characters relatable. They had real-world problems. For example, Ty and Cory came from a broken home where drugs were common and money was tight. Unfortunately, this is a real issue that some kids have to deal with in everyday life. Although the characters’ actions were not easy to predict, their choices sometimes surprised me.
I recommend this book for young adults or teenagers because there is some foul language and adult situations that young readers should not be reading. All in all, I do recommend this book to other readers.
