Deadfall: The Sequel to Blackbird
Deadfall was a much better book than the first one, Blackbird. When I first read Blackbird I had a tough time reading and getting used to second person point of view. I hadn’t read any reviews prior to reading the story and I can’t help but think whether or not I would have continue to read if I had known first hand about the point of view. Deadfall was no different. It took some getting used to but once I started getting used to the language, I was eager to find out more. The main character is on the run from some bad guys. If they find her, she’s done for. Dead. We’re talking about danger. And let me tell you, the ride was amazing! So many things happened. Stuff that we find out in the first book are better explained in the second. Such as Sonny and Ben finding out something very particular that involves his father. Then a mysterious boy from Sonny’s dreams comes into the picture and everything just keeps getting weirder. Or crazier, but in a good way. Fans of the duology will be satisfied where Carey takes the story. It’s full of non stop action that will keep readers on their toes. If this is something you’re looking for, I highly suggest reading these books!
