Danny and the Blue Cloud

Danny was born under a cloud, which would make him feel very sad all the time. So he wanted to stay in bed all day and wouldn’t leave even when his friends came to ask him to go out and play. He thought he was not good at climbing and playing. One day Barnaby the Rabbit asked him what he was doing all alone inside the house. He said he needed to get out and feel better.
Danny started to hop and dance around, and Barnaby would tell him how good he was. They sang together a happy song, to remember every time he felt sad again. Danny learned all the rules: think of the good things, instead of the bad things; think about what you can do, instead of what you cannot do; dance and move around, because moving makes you feel better; and think good of yourself.

Danny started following the rules and felt much better. The cloud over his head became of lighter color, and one day it became the color of the rainbow.

I like this book! I learned all sorts of ways to be happy when I’m upset.
