Daisy’s Big Night
Daisy’s Big Night is a great book! It is all about a little girl named Daisy who loves words. At first she just collects them in her notebook, but then she learns that she can turn them into poems. She shares her poems at a special class party at school. She also makes these cookies that sound SO yummy! She used frosting and decorated the cookies with rhyming words. I really wanted to eat one of those cookies! I also really liked the drawings in the book. They aren’t colorful, but look like someone drew them with a pencil. The drawings aren’t on every page, but there are still a lot. My favorite part of the book was when Daisy went to a poetry party. I also like that Daisy’s best friend is named Emma, because that is my name! I would recommend this book to anyone who likes poetry. There are cool pages in the back with Daisy’s word lists from her notebook. I think I am going to start my own word list notebook like Daisy.
