Samantha renounces her past and dreams once her father dies until one day when a mysterious package arrives at her place of work. Little does she know, this package will lead her on a wild goose chase involving an ancient goddess, and the past she tried to forget. Will she be able to solve the code, and save the world?

Curse of the Spector Queen was enjoyable to read because of the writing and the characters. The characters were really interesting, and it was fun to see how they interacted with each other. Also, I liked how we got to learn Joan’s true feelings and the true extent of Samantha’s grief for her father. I believe this book would make a wonderful book series because it would be fascinating to see how they would react in different situations; like, how they would get out/solve them. I would recommend this book to anyone who has an interest in magic, history, archaeology, or just wants to read an interesting story
