Description

Meet Emily. Emily and her family have a magical gift where they can bake feelings into the desserts they make. When Emily’s aunt dies in a car crash, Emily feels bad, and she thinks that baking is the only way to help her feel better. So she bakes her feelings into a crumble. Her classmates can’t stop eating the crumble, and Emily bakes it again and again. But baking bad feelings can get out of hand.

I really liked the art in the book because it was colorful and cute. I thought the story was a really interesting concept, a mix of magic and baking. I loved getting to know the characters, too! I think it’s good to have books that show how different people deal with grief, and how people should deal with it. I also think that it would be more funny and less confusing if the crumble in the cover looked as gross as the crumble in the book, because the crumble in the cover looks good. I recommend this book to people who like books with baking, cute art, and magic.
