Creature Keepers and the Swindled Soil-Soles
My favorite character was Syd, until I discovered Izzy, the Mapinguari. Syd hates to be called Bigfoot. He likes to be called Syd. Jordan and Abbie are Creature Keepers. They are supposed to watch Syd. They do it really badly. There are a bunch of bad guys. Gusto is after Syd’s soil-soles. Soil-soles are giant feet that Syd wears to prevent earthquakes. Chupacabra is scaring other cryptids. Buck Wilde is a Sasquatch seeker. Will Jordan and Abbie keep their cryptids safe? Read the book to find out.
I liked reading it when it was funny – at the beginning. But when it got scary and stuff, I didn’t like it. I liked the drawings. They were funny. I liked the beginning with the skunk ape pretending to be a human Badger Ranger. He kept winking, so they asked if he needed medical attention. The chupacabra-Gusto thing was confusing. I mean, how can they be in two places?
I’d like to read the first book. This book has a cliffhanger, so I’d like to read the next book too.
People who like Sasquatches and other mythological creatures would like this book, but then it would be a bummer that chupacabra is a bad guy. It is long, but the story is interesting.
