Cookiesaurus Rex
Cookiesaurus Rex is about a dinosaur-shaped cookie that is baked, iced, and decorated. But he does not like how he has been decorated! All the other cookies get sprinkles, gumdrops, shiny stars, and colorful icing. Why do the other cookies get to be so fancy, but Cookiesaurus Rex just gets plain, boring green icing?!
Cookiesaurus Rex wants to be mean and fierce-looking, but the baker decorates him like a ballerina! That is definitely NOT fierce! Then he is redecorated as a baby and a clown. No! He manages to frost himself to look like a superhero and a ninja, but it does not last very long. Finally, Cookiesaurus Rex decorates himself as the King of All Cookies!
Will Cookiesaurus Rex ever get decorated to be the ferocious, tough creature he knows he is inside? Is being decorated plainly the absolute worst thing that can happen to a dinosaur-shaped cookie?
I like the pictures in this book. The cookies all make hilarious faces at Cookiesaurus Rex! My favorite part is when he “poops” chocolate chips! The story is funny and creative.
