Conrad And The Cowgirl Next Door is about a boy visiting his uncle on a ranch. The boy doesn’t know anything about a being a cowboy but he packs his extra super duper first aid kit. A cowgirl from next door is always right there when he gets hurt and kind of gloats about it. But Conrad always says, “Don’t worry” and is real nice. Then Conrad and his uncle go to an auction to buy Conrad a horse. Conrad accidentally buys a llama. Then the cowgirl next door buys the horse Conrad wanted and gloats, saying “He’s Mine!” and dancing around but she falls off a haystack. Conrad brings his first aid kit and gives her band-aids. He worries that he will never be a cowboy but his uncle tells him he has learned the most important rule, “Forgive your enemies, it messes up their heads.” Do you think it works with that cowgirl? You have to read the book to find out.

I love this book because I like that Conrad was nice to the cowgirl and gave her band-aids. I also like the pictures a lot. They are really funny! And there were little surprises in some of them. I want to move to the country and be a cowgirl and I learned a lot of things not to do from Conrad. I would give this book to all my friends.
