Comics Squad #2: Lunch!
There are eight stories by different authors. Crazy Little Thing Called Lunch was not my favorite. Ellie eats a chocolate bar, and everyone becomes the lunch she has, because the candy bar has nuts in it. She’s not supposed to eat nuts.
I liked the Snoopy comic. It was funny. Snoopy is a beagle and the cafeteria cleanup guy. Baby Mouse fights to get her lunch table back. That story didn’t have much to do with lunch. It had to do with dodgeball. I liked “Missing Science Project.” The story has arrows. They tell you where to go. You have to make a choice every once in a while. In “Worst Day Ever,” Pikput and Cullen can’t do anything together. Then they start doing science experiments together. I liked it. “Cave Soup” is about Neanderthals making soup. People are mean to the two kids.
I didn’t like that. Lunch Bomb 1943 is about a US ship winning a battle with potatoes. It’s true – even the potato part. I want to read more Hazardous Tales. In “Lunch Girl,” she uses a Banana Sliperoo instead of the Electronic Bananarang she uses as Lunch Lady. I read this book all by myself.
People who liked Comic Squad Recess! will like this book. I like the potato one and the missing science project one best.
