Colors versus Shapes
So this is what happens. It says, “Team One, please take the stage!” and Team One is the colors. So Team One goes onto the stage, but then Team Two goes on the stage too, even though they are supposed to wait their turn. Team Two is shapes. (That’s why the book is called, Colors Versus Shapes.) They say the book is already about them, because the book is square. Then the whole Team Two says, “What have you got?” Then Team One mixes blue and yellow in a cartwheel, which makes green. Then the shapes say, “Look at these two triangles bounce up into a square!” So the colors keep mixing colors and the shapes keep on making new shapes, until the octagon isn’t watching where he’s going, and the color red isn’t watching where he’s going, and then – bump! They make a red octagon! Then the colors and the shapes make a great picture by working together. And that’s all that happens. I like this book because it has great funny pictures. But I think that colors are more important, because if everything was no color at all, everything would be see-through. So we would just see everything.
