Chuck and Woodchuck
There’s a girl who’s in first grade, and one day they have show and tell. There is a boy in her class, named Chuck, who brings a woodchuck, who is very cute and friendly. So the teacher says that the woodchuck can come to school every day. He is nice to everybody, but he is especially nice to the girl. He gives her Chuck’s hat when her ears are cold, and Chuck’s cupcake when hers falls on the ground, and his painting when she ruins hers. But Chuck is really shy and doesn’t ever say anything to her until Chuck takes one of her photos, and he also helps her remember her lines in the school play. Finally they become friends because the woodchuck helped them.
This book is really fun because it shows how the boy and the girl got to be friends even though it took a long time. The woodchuck was really nice to help them. The pictures in this book show you that Chuck is always trying to be nice to the girl even though he is too shy to talk to her. The children look funny but fun and nice. It’s a good book about friendship.
