This book is called Chineasy, and it’s very true. It’s very easy. The first couple of pages are very easy. The characters are easy to draw, like “person” and “tree,” because of the lines they have you draw; they help you trace it. Then closer to the back of the book, they have pictures of what the characters are like, like “mouth,” which is a square and there’s bones and a box of limes. Then an eye is a box with two lines in it. So you can trace the line of the characters on some pages and then you can try to write it. But some pages you can’t trace; you just have to copy it. Then it has numbers. I like the way they did the number pictures. It also has animals. I like the index because then you can look up the words in English. The whole book itself is easy to learn if you’re a beginner, but it doesn’t tell you how to speak it. You could probably look up on the internet how to pronounce the words. Like I said, the whole book itself is pretty cool. It’s for beginners, but you could buy this book if you know a little bit of Chinese. My favorite character is the cat and the poodle; if you have the book you should look those up. I would give this book five stars.
