Chimpanzees for Tea!

I think this book is interesting and very funny. The boy starts off with a list of things he has to buy. But then his list blows away! So he tries to remember, but he keeps remembering things wrong. So instead of getting a box of rice, he gets a box of mice! Instead of a great big pear, he brings home a big furry bear!

By the time he gets home, he has chimpanzees, a trapeze, parrots, mice, and a bear, and he invites them all to his house to come over for tea! His mom is very surprised!

The pictures in this book make you feel like you are so busy and running like the boy is. Lots of things are happening like the wind blowing the list away, and the trapeze girl is swinging from her trapeze. It is funny how the boy goes past all these places like the circus and the zoo and that makes him think of the wrong thing to get. The pictures are really fun and really cute and I love how the author and the illustrator made this book.
