Charlie Hernández & the Golden Dooms (3)

When Charlie gets locked in the girls’ bathroom by a calaca named Esmerelda, he learns that something bad has happened to her sister. After the principal finds him, he goes to his friend, Violet, who has already written an article about him in the school newspaper. With the help of a stranger who also happens to be Charlie’s cousin, Raul, they investigate. There have been strange earthquakes, and disappearing people, and soon they all learn there is something highly suspicious going on. Charlie will have to use his morphling powers, if he can, to save the world… once again.

This is a very funny book with a really good plot twist. The characters were very realistic, and I learned a lot about mythology while I read the story. I don’t speak Spanish, so sometimes when characters were speaking Spanish I didn’t understand, though.
