Celebrating Pennsylvania: 50 States to Celebrate

I was glad to get this book because it made me think about how my Godmama Shannon lives in Pennsylvania. Did you know that you can celebrate Pennsylvania? When I read this book, I learned about celebrating Pennsylvania with facts about the state. For example, the “award-winning movie, Rocky, about a boxer, was filmed in Philadelphia.” But my Godmama Shannon doesn’t live in Philadelphia, she lives in Pittsburgh! So I looked in the book to find out about Pittsburgh. I learned that in Pittsburgh, people cheer for the football team called the Steelers. They have won a lot of Super Bowls. Maybe someday I would love to see Godmama Shannon cheer for the Steelers. There are lots of things to learn about Pennsylvania, like the Amish, the Liberty Bell, Betsy Ross, and even Philly cheesesteaks! This book has mostly drawings instead of photographs, but I would like to see more photographs. I liked the sections on “Fast Facts” and the Glossary. I think the “Activities” section looks like fun. “Pennsylvania has always been a state bursting with big, bold ideas and chances to have wonderful adventures.” I hope I get to go there someday!
