Celebrating Illinois: 50 States to Celebrate (Green Light Readers Level 3)
Reading about places that you haven’t ever been to is fun, especially when a book does a good job at teaching about a place. This book, /Celebrating Illinois/, tells about different interesting things about Illinois like where it is located, how to find it on a map, happenings from history, neat sights and landmarks and much more. The drawings in the book make it so that you feel like you are really seeing these things that the book is describing. If you have seen these things in Illinois then you are lucky but if not then reading this book would be the next best thing to do. Then maybe one day you really can go there and see the places where Abraham Lincoln lived and worked, ride the swinging carousel at Navy Pier, hike through the Garden of the Gods in Shawnee National Forest and taste a Chicago-style hot dog.
