Can You See Me?
This book is about the rain forest. In the rain forest, animals come. In a rain forest, it rains a lot in real life, but not here in this book. This is about the animals. There are different types of animals, and lots of plants – trees and plants and flowers. The animals hide in the plants, and it is hard to see them, because they look like the plants. This bird is picking a fruit from a plant. It is a toucan. It looks like the fruit. There is a banana snake. It looks like a snake in the roots on the tree. There is a sloth, and a reptile in the water – what is it? A speckled caiman. This is a badger (an otter), and another bird hiding in the grass. I like the monkey but it’s kind of scary. There is the crab, but the lizard is hard to see. The bird thinks I can’t see him but he is easy to see! The frog is red. He is easy to see. He is a poison little red frog, and he likes to eat fish. (I like to eat fish too.)
