Burning Magic
It isn’t easy being a peasant when all of your friends are sorcerers, but Thorn has gotten used to it since he met his friends Lily (Lady Shadow of Gehenna) and K’leef (prince of the House Djinn). As a loyal friend of Lily, Thorn goes with her to Djinn, where one of K’leef’s many brothers is about to take the throne as the new Sultan of Djinn. During his coronation something goes wrong, and the new sultan is killed when his magic doesn’t protect him. A new sultan must be named for Djinn, and the elders decide that it must be a trial by fire. K’leef must go against his brothers in order to see who the new sultan will be. With the help of Thorn and Lily, K’leef must face his fears and battle against his siblings.
This was a wonderful, exciting story filled with mythical creatures, magic, and friendship. The three friends, along with Thorn’s pet, a Giant Vampire Bat named Hades, show that each of their unique qualities can work together to face anything. Even the plain peasant who cannot do any magic can use his own set of unique skills to help.
