Buried Sunlight: How Fossil Fuels Have Changed the Earth

In Buried Sunlight, the Sun is the narrator. At first, the Sun tells you about the fossil fuels coal, oil and gas, and where they come from. They come from ancient plants buried down in the Earth. Plants trap the Sun’s energy. When we burn fossil fuels, we release the energy and use it.

This is a good book because it helps you realize what humans are doing to the Earth. We are burning fossil fuels, which is terrible for the Earth. When you burn fossil fuels, carbon dioxide gets out. That is more CO2 than everything needs and it makes the Earth hotter than hot! Usually, animals and bacteria eat the carbon chains, which is the energy. But now that we use fossil fuels for so many things, too much CO2 is being released.

I think this is an important book for people to read. The book says that we need to invent ways to thin to blanket of carbon dioxide, use fossil fuels more slowly, and use other kinds of energy. I would recommend this book to someone who loves science.
