Description
Bridget Vanderpuff and the Ghost Train is the second book in the Bridget Vanderpuff series; it is also the scariest (so far)! Bridget is now adopted and has been reunited with her best friend, Tom, again. Bridget meets new people in the town of Belle-on-Sea and continues to work on improving (or at least maintaining) her status of being the best worst baker. Bridget, her dad, and the town are preparing for the upcoming festival – the Night of the Hungry Ghosts Munchathon. When they get warned by a local sea captain to beware of the Ghost Train, and odd things start happening around town, no one believes except Bridget, and she’ll use her master-level sleuth skills to figure out the truth.
This story introduces many new things, such as people coming for and involved with the festival, Vanderpuff’s (and Bridget’s) recipes, and inventions. Bridget shows readers her detective skills and continues learning to juggle her roles of daughter, independent girl, and best friend. Readers upper-elementary and older will enjoy this book and series!
