Birds Make Nests
This book is not a fiction book. It’s a happy nonfiction book. Did you know that birds make nests? If you did, you might want to try out this book because it tells many facts about how birds make nests. For instance, I learned that nests can be different shapes and sizes. I also found out that some birds make nests on the ground! One of the main reasons that birds make their nests is so that they can keep eggs safe. Something special about this book is how there are many different kinds of birds identified in the illustrations, such as the bald eagle (our country’s national bird), the barn owl, the thrush nightingale, and even the Canada goose. The illustrations are warm and colorful; they are paintings instead of actual photographs. I was very interested in this book because I have loved birds for a long time. Also, my little brother really, really loves birds, so this is very special for both him and me. Kids who enjoy birds and want to know how birds make nests would really enjoy this book.
