Birdie and Me
Birdie and Me is such a great book. It is a story about being true to yourself. In the book, Jackie and Birdie are forced to move to their other uncle’s house when Uncle Carl fails at taking care of them. Watch them as they discover their inner courage and strength. I loved the end the most. I thought it was awesome to see some of the characters change after every event of the story. I would really love to meet both the characters because they were adventurous. I think it would be fun to hang out with them. I think ages nine to fourteen should read this book. You would like this book if you like emotional books. This book is now one of my favorite books. This book reminds me of Out Of My Mind because the characters in both learn to be themselves. In Out Of My Mind, Melody learns that even if you look different from the other kids it doesn’t mean you are bad. I really loved how I could picture the situation and what was going on. I would love to see a Book Two. This was a heartbreaking, emotional story about two young kids finding their voices.
