Big Nate: Hug It Out! (Volume 21)
Big Nate: Hug it Out follows the life of Nate Wright, an eleven-year-old trying to deal with school, sports, girls, and family. In this graphic novel, Nate learns the importance of not arguing with people you love.
I recommend this book because it is very entertaining, interesting, and funny. It is nice to have an inside peek into the life of a kid my age. It tells me exactly what NOT to do in middle school.
I wouldn’t say that this book has a life-changing lesson, but if there were to be one, it would be, “stay close to the ones you love.” Throughout the story, Nate gets into many arguments with his friends and his family, most notably, with his dad, his sister Ellen, and his two best friends, Francis and Teddy. They always end up “hugging it out,” but then Nate might turn right around and have a long-term fight with the people that he loves.
This book was great. I would definitely recommend it to friends and family.
