Big Breath: A Guided Meditation for Kids
A Big Breath: A Guided Meditation For Kids is a fun book that helps create a picture to an everyday function, that we do without any thought. I was able to use the illustrations to visualize my breaths based on my emotions and how I felt. The beautiful watercolor illustrations are calming and peaceful. The illustrations help children to visualize a calm place like the ocean, watching the waves crash on the shore. The illustrations also help children to visualize what their emotions may feel like a strong wind before a big storm or a vast mountainside. My favorite part of the book is the guided reflection which talks about the invisible footsteps I have left behind and where I have been. While my actions and emotions seem small when reflecting and thinking of my invisible footsteps, it helps me to see that I have a bigger impact on the world than I thought I did. I think this would be a great book for all children, as it helps them to realize how important they are and what a big impact each one of us can leave on the world.
