Being Small (Isn’t So Bad After All)

Are you short? This book is about a girl that is short, and she doesn’t want to go to school because of her size. The girl tells her mom why she doesn’t want to go to school. One of the reasons is she couldn’t do sports because she couldn’t catch the ball. Her mom said that she could do other things that tall people can’t do. For example, she can go really low under the limbo stick, and she is the first one everyone sees in the class picture. So there are some things short people can do and tall people can’t do.

I like this book because it teaches you to respect who you are even if you don’t like being who you are. Being tall or short is what makes you YOU. Also, I like it because you should like who you are, and I love how the mom makes being short a good thing. If I could change the end, I would make her go to school and stick up for herself. I think this is a great book to read.
