Beatrice Zinker, Upside Down Thinker, Book 2 Incognito
Beatrice and her best friend, Lenny, are on a secret mission to help everyone in their school be happy. They call their mission “Operation Upside.” The problem is Beatrice is not very good at keeping secrets. Beatrice has a great idea: to give her teacher, Mrs. Tamarack, one of the Upside Awards, that they use in order to make people smile. The award she gives the teacher is the Most Strict Award. Beatrice thinks that the award is a compliment since her teacher is very good at being strict, but Mrs. Tamarack gets mad and is determined to find out who is behind the Upside Awards. Beatrice and Lenny must do their best to keep the secret from getting to Mrs. Tamarack, but they still want to make other people happy with the awards. They must find a way to do both.
I love this book. Beatrice and Lenny had such a great idea to make people happy. The Upside Awards really are a great way to make people smile. This book shows that it is important to look around you and notice people you might not have noticed before and that it is ok to make new friends and make people feel happy.
