Beast & Crown
The main character is Ji. Ji is a boot boy at Primstone Manor. Ji hates being a boot boy, so he risks his life for a chance to accompany his friend Brace (a nobleman) to the Diadem Rite, which is a rite that chooses the heir to the Summer Crown. At the Diadem Rite, there are three possible heirs. When it is Brace’s turn to try to grab the mini crown made of water, Ji grabs the diadem instead. He falls unconscious!
When he awakes, he and his friends are in cages. More importantly, they are half-beasts!! They decide to seek out Tin-lin-su. She knows a lot about beasts and may have the answer to how they break the beast spell. But can Tin-lin-su help to break the curse that has been placed upon them?
This book was suspenseful, exciting, and even funny in places! I enjoy books that have fantasy in them such as magic, goblins, and ogres – this book delivers all those things and more. Overall, I liked the story very much, and I would recommend it to everyone!
