Beard Boy
Beard Boy is a story about a little boy named Ben who wants to have a beard. All of the cool people in his neighborhood have a beard, like the butcher, the baker, and the barbers. Most importantly, his dad has a fabulous, luscious beard, and Ben wants to be just like his dad! Ben asks everyone a million questions about their beards.
Ben tells his dad he wants a beard right away, but his dad tells him he will have to wait. He can’t imagine having to wait another twenty years to have a beard of his very own! So, Ben tries to make a beard from bubbles, peanut butter and dog slobber, even his sister’s hair! When none of these solutions work, Ben uses a marker to draw a beard onto his face!
Does Ben figure out a way to be just like his dad? Read this funny, silly, happy book to find out! I would tell everyone I know to read this book! The story is sweet (because every kid wants to be like their dad!), and I love the pictures!
