Batman’s Dark Secret

Batman’s Dark Secret is about a little boy named Bruce Wayne, who eventually becomes the superhero Batman. Movie night was Bruce’s favorite night. His family went to watch a movie about a hero with a sword and a cape! Walking home from the movie, Bruce and his parents came to a dark alley. Bruce ran down the dark alley; after all, he wasn’t afraid of the dark. Then, he heard a loud bang! Then, another!

The police took Bruce back home to Alfred, the butler. After what happened to his parents, Bruce was afraid of the dark, so Alfred added many new lights to the house. One night, Bruce was running home and fell into a dark hole that was filled with bats! He was terrified of the dark and the bats. But, once he faced his fears instead of running from them, Bruce found he was no longer afraid. He would be brave and strong.

This story made me want to be brave and strong, too!

I like this story and the pictures, but the big huge bat monster picture was a little bit scary.
