Batman Classic: Winter Wasteland
I have dressed up as Batman for the past three Halloweens. You could say I’m a big Batman fan. I have two brothers who also like Batman, so I was very excited to read Batman: Winter Wasteland. It is another exciting story about Batman’s crime fighting. Any child who likes stories about superheroes would enjoy this book. This book is a quick read and has great pictures. In this story, Batman saves Gotham City from being frozen by The Ice Pack. The Ice Pack is a group of frosty felons that includes Captain Cold, Mr. Freeze, and Killer Frost. They each have subzero powers and weapons, and are trying to freeze the city. This book is filled with awesome crime fighting moments. Wonder Woman is also in this book. My favorite part was when the batmobile is frozen into a block of ice and The Flash has to run around the car, creating a tornado wave of heat to unfreeze the car. There are many exciting moments in this book. People ages 6 and up should like this book.
