Ballerina Gets Ready

This book is all about a ballerina named Iris who is getting ready for her first ballet. She is very excited and not as nervous as you might think. She works hard and gets to perform in the ballet. Does she do a good job? Well, you’ll have to read the story to find out! Iris is a little girl who is a sweet and kind person. Besides Iris, other characters include Alexi, Michael, and Billy. Alexi is a choreographer, and Michael and Billy are ballet dancers and friends of Iris. They all work together to try to put on a great ballet performance.

One thing that I really liked about this story is that Iris got to perform in the ballet. I like ballet, too, and I enjoy performing. That’s why I liked this story. There wasn’t anything about the story that I didn’t like. A quote from this book that I liked best is, “The choreographer, Alexi, is making a new ballet; and Iris and her partner, Michael, are going to be in it!” I think that boys and girls who love ballet and love performing would like this book.
