Badger’s Perfect Garden
Sometimes, even if you plan and plan, things get mixed up and don’t happen the way you want them to. When that happens, people oftentimes get upset and frustrated. But sometimes, when things don’t work out the way you want them to, they still work out; you just have to fix the way you look at things to see that even though it’s not exactly the way you planned, it’s still pretty good.
Badger’s Perfect Garden, written by Marsha Diane Arnold and illustrated by Ramona Kaulitzki, is a story about plans, friendship, and going with the flow when things aren’t the way you thought they should be. It’s a cute story about the good of planning and working hard, but then also realizing that we can’t always have what we want. There are a lot of good lessons in here, and the pictures are cute. I think this book would be good for kids K-2nd.
