B. Bear and Lolly: Catch That Cookie!
B. Bear and Lolly are trying to make the perfect porridge, but it turns out to be too thick and slick, too lumpy and jumpy, and too sticky and icky. And, just when they are about to try again, the Gingerbread Man crashes right into their invention. B. Bear is sad that the Gingerbread Man doesn’t even say that he’s sorry. Lolly is mad that the Gingerbread Man doesn’t come back and clean up the mess that he made. They decide to catch him, and when they do, the Gingerbread Man thinks that they want to eat him. But, they don’t want to eat him. They just want him to clean up the mess that he made.
I like the pictures in this story. My favorite page is when B. Bear and Lolly decide to chase the Gingerbread Man. It’s like a map and it has pictures of Cinderella’s castle, the Three Little Pigs’ home, the witch’s house from Hansel and Gretel, the seven dwarfs’ house from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, and the beanstalk from Jack and the Beanstalk. There are big letters that I can read, like “boo.” If you like fairy tales, you will love this book!
