In this book, a cow named Audrey is at a farm, and she is with her friend, a dog named Eddie. They and their friends try to save Audrey from going to a place called the abbatoir, because she’s a food cow. She goes into the car and they drive along until the car gets a flat tire. Audrey, who was trained by the pig, who was very smart, opened the latch and escaped into the woods. It was scary the first night, but she made some friends and found a place to sleep for the night. Finally the hunters found her and took her to the vet, because the cougar had scratched her. So then she figures out that she is supposed to stay at the vet’s, but her friends can come and visit her a lot of the time.

This book was exciting. It seemed like something really tragic was going to happen, but then it was okay. I liked this book because the pictures it had were fun pictures and it was easy to read, and it is good to read when you are going on a long drive because then you don’t have to put it down!
