Audacity Jones to the Rescue (Audacity Jones #1)
Audacity Jones is a girl who always ends up in the punishment room at a school for wayward girls. Audie is not very happy there and dreams of having adventures. But when her dream comes true and she is taken off on an adventure, it’s not what she had imagined it was going to be and it takes a lot of creativity and bravery on her part to try to make things come out well at the end.
Audacity Jones to the Rescue (Audacity Jones #1) by Kirby Larson was not that well-written because the plot was not that twisty at all. The reader is left expecting more action-packed incidents, but those don’t happen. Miniver, the talking cat, is kind of cute, but otherwise the characters are not developed so that you would begin to care for any of them. Without giving away the ending, it was not satisfying at all.
This book would be okay for boys and girls ages 8 to 13 who like adventure stories that don’t involve too much adventure and who can’t find a more interesting book to read.
