Animal Planet Chapter Books: Sharks!

This is a great book for learning about sharks. It has a lot of information and lots of great pictures and facts. It is a pretty long book but really interesting and easy to read, and you will read it fast because you will learn so many fascinating things about sharks. For example, you learn that sharks can find their way home by smelling. Some scientists did an experiment where they captured leopard sharks and took them away from their home. Before they let them go, they plugged the noses of some of the sharks with cotton balls. Those sharks couldn’t find their way home until the cotton fell out, but the other sharks could. This book is full of stories like that, of experiments or experiences people have had with sharks and all sorts of things people have found out. In some ways sharks are all the same, but sharks can be very different from each other, too. Did you know there are hundreds of kinds of sharks? You can’t learn about them all in this book, but you can learn about a lot of them! You will love finding out about these amazing animals in this book.
