Animal Planet Chapter Books: Farm Friends Escape!

I enjoyed reading this book from Animal Planet. Sarah and Luke are the main characters in this story. Actually, this book is all about when Sarah and Luke go to their grandparents’ petting zoo and the animals escape. The pauses in-between the story are all about farm animals. This book is a combination of fiction and nonfiction. I liked reading a story that also had interesting facts included in the book. For example, I especially enjoyed a part called “Bunny Babies” that had information about bunnies and their young. Did you know that bunnies “are born with their eyes closed and without fur”? I didn’t know that until I read this book! The story is fun and enjoyable. The pictures are black and white sketches of Sarah and Luke, but there are also color photographs of real animals and people, too. I think kids who love animals and farms will really enjoy this book. My little brother isn’t able to read chapter books yet, but I will save this book for him because he loves farm animals!
