I really enjoyed The Alliance of Ash and Jade by AJ Skelly. It is a fun fantasy romance with lots of action and interesting characters. The book is highly entertaining, and I recommend it for young adults aged 16-20.

Jade wants to prove herself to her father and earn her place in her clan. To do that, she enters the Crown Challenges in an attempt to put her brother on the throne and earn her father’s affection. To help reach this goal, Jade enters A marriage alliance with Ash, a Sky Prince who is hiding a powerful curse. 1 issue: Ash thinks Jade cursed him, and he’s vowed to kill her for that. However, when Jade saves his life, he is forced into a blood debt with her that prevents him from killing her until the crown challenges are over. Ash and Jade are forced to work as allies, truly, and although both swear to hate each other, perhaps the crown challenges will change that.

My favorite part of the book was the relationship between Jade and Ash. Their romance develops slowly, and their chemistry makes the story exciting. The storyline was easy to follow, and the action scenes made me want to keep reading. Jade and Ash both had great character development, which kept me engaged in their parts. I enjoyed how the author, although bringing Jade and Ash together, still showcased their individualities. I would give this book 5 out of 5 stars. It was entertaining, emotional, engaging, and hard to put down. I think it is a great book for young adults who enjoy fantasy, romance, and adventure stories. I would definitely recommend The Alliance of Ash and Jade to anyone looking for a magical and exciting read.
