In Amy Wu and the Patchwork Dragon, a girl named Amy is read a book about dragons in her classroom and told to make her own dragon. Her classmates says her dragon doesn’t look right. Amy tries to make the dragon her own, but she is having a hard time. Can she make a dragon that is her own?

I really love the colorful and cute drawings. Amy is cute, Amy’s classmates and the animals are cute, everyone is so cute. I thought it was funny that the grandma has pink hair and strawberry earrings. I love Amy’s little ponytails and her cat that follows her wherever she goes. I also like it when the cat eats steamed buns. I love that Amy is Asian because you don’t see many Asian children in books. There is a bonus on the back of the book, which is a fun craft with dragons.

I love this book, and I hope you do as well. I recommend this book to dragon lovers.
